CIR won 2012 Award for Outstanding Team Achievement

The Minister’s Award for Outstanding Team Achievement recognises a ranger team’s outstanding  commitment and contribution to management of natural and cultural resources that has resulted in significant improvement of biodiversity, community  experience, cultural heritage or joint management.

The Crocodile Islands Rangers (CIR) program is an example of commitment,  leadership, effective relationships and great teamwork that results in a  community with very limited resources who developed a successful program which  goes above and beyond the usual expectations of a ranger group.
